Churches and individuals are invited to register for the day of InterPlay and fellowship. There will be two sessions on InterPlay, an accessible art form that anyone can do, plenty of time for fellowship, lunch and a workshop on balanced living. InterPlay is a body-based spiritual practice that relieves stress and creates ease and way to build community. It also invited participants to open up and experience a Biblical story in a fresh and dynamic way. This ministry of embodied spirituality is perfect for all, ages 2-102, there are no limits. Meeting information registration materials will be sent soon from the Conference Office.

28 folks from 11 churches in WNCA traveled to Biloxi. Rev. Kelly Barefoot, chair of the WNCA Church Development and Evangelism Committee, organized the trip through Back Bay Mission. Individuals, congregations, and the Association helped underwrite the cost of the trip. The group worked to rebuild an damaged home and to build a new home from 12 feet above ground level up.

Word from all of those participating is that it was a tremendous experience of the Church at its best. Everyone would like to do another trip in the future.

Final planning is currently in process. Southern Conference will provide bus transportation ($20/person) for those young people who will attend. Details on bus reservations will be announced soon. The Board of Directors of WNCA has also made scholarships available to help with the cost of registration. It is hoped that these funds will encourage churches who have not previously sent young people to the NYE to do so this year. Donna Dudley is serving with the Evangelical Congregational Church of Angola. She will assist with development projects and staff leadership programs.

Gloria Vicente is serving in Guatemala with the Guatemalan Culture Action (ACG). She will serve as a youth and communication worker with ACG.

Churches that have supported Paul Pitcher for the past several years through the WNCA may wish to establish a support relationship with one of these missionaries.
